The base data acquisition platform for this type of application is Quanterra's Q330 series digitizers, which are very robust, high performance, units. The Q330 series comprise several models to fit the requirements of most demanding projects.

Q330 | USArray

The seismic monitoring network USArray, built upon Q330 digitizer, recorded the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti in December 12th, 2010. The video shows the propagation os seismic waves across the network stations (courtesy USArray).

 

This network has an average data return rate above 98%.

Q8 Seismic digitizer

The Q8 is the newest member of the Quanterra® family of ultra-high resolution data acquisition systems at ultra-low power consumption. The Q8 is designed for “plug’n play” into existing Q330-based networks or portable deployments and offers the same reliability, extraordinary temperature stability and data redundancy.
