The last generation of Kinemetrics strong motion recorders offers solutions with 3 to 36 channels that can match the requirements of the most demanding projects.

These equipment are very well suited for the implementation of Seismic and Structural Health Monitoring - SSHM - projects, with continuous recording of vibrations in the infrastructures, allowing the identification of vibration modes and natural frequencies, comparison with the theoretical figures and their evolution in time. It's a powerful tool for earlier detection of pathologies and structural ageing.

APPLICATIONS

Dams are critical structures that require a wide range of monitoring equipment to surveil their operation and safety conditions.

Each dam can be unique in terms of it's monitoring requirements and there are several groups of parameters that can be addressed:

* slow variation structural sensors such as strain gauges, tiltmeters and pendulums, crackmeters, ...;

* accelerations induced in the structure by seismic or environmental activity, requiring fast recording rates;

* reservoir water level, discharge;

* environmental conditions, such as weather and water quality parameters.
